The advancement of technology often requires the miniaturisation of machine automation components without compromise to performance or quality. Pneumatic clamping cylinders have been specially designed to meet these requirements.
Pneumatic clamping cylinders are a favourite industry product; commonly known as ‘short stroke’ or ‘pancake’ pneumatic cylinders because of their limitation of stroke and design style. Made with a solid machined aluminium body, they are incredibly robust and offer exceptional force characteristics due to a large internal piston area.
Clamping cylinders are particularly useful for a multitude of applications where space is restricted. Bore diameters range from 8mm to 63mm; they are all produced with standard stroke lengths, these are typically 4mm, 5mm, 10mm and 25mm as single acting, double acting or a double acting through rod version.
The rod end is female threaded for bore diameters 20mm to 63mm; bore sizes 8mm to 12mm the rod end is not threaded. Through holes are provided to mount the cylinder. All cylinders in this range are non-magnetic. A full range of seal kits is available for easy maintenance of the device.
Customised strokes and special seals for high-temperature applications are available; these usually are subject to a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces.
