Kuhnke 72 series micro pneumatic valves are available as either a roller lever valve, a push button valve or as an air jet detector valve; they are miniature by design, particularly useful for applications where space is at a premium.
Air jet detector valves, used for the contact sensing of delicate components. A stream of air is sent from a nozzle, as an object touches the air nozzle, the flow is interrupted causing back pressure which operates the valve. The volume of tubing determines the actuation time.
The main body of the valve constructed of a moulded polyamide plastic material, convenient brass push-fit connectors are provided for quick and easy set-up. Mount the device using the two 3mm diameter holes in the body of the valve.
Push button and roller lever versions have a low actuation force of 1N. Typical flow rates of up to 95 l/min at 8 bar are possible. Actuating distance of the button is only 0.6mm at 8 bar.
These valves will consume approximately 0.7 l/min in either the button rest position, 72.010 and 72.020, or the button actuated position, 72.015 and 72.025 versions. Consumption of air is necessary for light actuation and to assist the successful switching of the valve.
Push button and roller lever valves are available with a 3-way open or closed valve function; located next to the button is the sintered exhaust port. Air jet detector valves are only available as normally closed.
