Several operator types are available for the Kuhnke 81 series valve; these are a plunger, push button, roller lever, roller ball, whisker, as well as air pilot operated and solenoid controlled versions with single or double air pilot or solenoid control.
Within the 81 series range are differential pressure valves, used for maintaining pressure in air systems. The differential valve has a normal single air pilot return function, but with an additional port that can be used to return the valve to a normal position when a secondary pressure reaches supply pressure.
Kuhnke 81 series valves are all 5-way valve configuration, and M5 ported. If your requirement is for the 3-way valve configuration, please refer to the 79 series section.
Mechanically actuated valves, in most cases, can be panel mounted through a 12mm drilled hole and secured using the fixing nut or can be secured to a flat panel surface using the through body holes provided.
A characterised feature of this type of valve is a hardened, cut stainless steel spool and sleeve. The stainless steel spool and sleeve are mated together during the machining process to create a precision fit.
A light lubricating oil allows the stainless steel spool to slide effortlessly within its sleeve liner; no seals are required therefore a mechanical life expectancy averaging 100 million cycles is possible.
