Pneumatic oscillating valves are designed to provide a switched output function by alternating ports 2 and 4 continuously while an electrical or pneumatic control signal is present. Interruption of the control signal deactivates the valve.
The oscillating speed of the 5-way valve is dependant upon the connected volume and line pressure; a typical operating rate of 16 cycles per minute at 2.5 bar is achievable.
Oscillator valves are typically used to oscillate a double acting cylinder; examples include mixing, stirring or sawing devices where time-critical cycling is not required.
Electrical coils and connecting plugs for the solenoid operated oscillating valve are sold separately, voltages offered are 12V DC, 24; 48; 110V AC/DC or 230V AC. Solenoid coils slide onto a brass stem; a threaded cap secures the electrical coil in place, a wiring plug can then be connected.
