Profile pneumatic cylinders manufactured to ISO 15552 standards; they meet European specifications which standardise the overall cylinder dimensions to achieve interchangeability amongst other manufacturers.
There are two types of cylinder tube profile, bore sizes 125mm up to 200mm, the cylinder body constructed of a solid profiled aluminium tube with internal tie-rods, and bore sizes 250mm and 320mm with a round solid aluminium tube with external tie-rods, both designs offer extreme strength and durability.
Adjustable cushioning supplied as standard with each cylinder. Shock and vibration can occur when fast-moving piston rods reach the end of a stroke, the force of impact can often damage the end caps, seals and coupled equipment. Adjustable cushioning slows the piston rod down before it reaches its end caps in either direction; this reduces impact and shock and typically extends the life expectancy of the cylinder.
Special Nose Design Cylinder - Typically within applications and irrespective of brand, pneumatic cylinder failures are caused by operating conditions such as the build-up of contaminants, or corrosive substances that deteriorate the nose of the cylinder and cause recurring leaks to the nose seal. Replacing a pneumatic cylinder is expensive, and seal replacement can be very time-consuming. A unique stainless steel nose design resists corrosion; it can be easily unscrewed allowing for the quick replacement of a highly durable rod wiper seal without having to deconstruct the entire cylinder, ultimately saving time and money.
Profile pneumatic cylinders range from 125mm to 320mm bore; they are double acting only. Other options include non-magnetic pistons, stainless steel piston rods or Viton seals for higher temperature use of up to +150°C.
Within the profile cylinder range, other cylinder designs are possible, these include through-rod and tandem cylinders where increased force is required.
