Pneumatic rotary actuator bore sizes range from Ø 25mm to Ø 100mm; a rack and pinion design provides exceptional torque values and fixed rotary movements from 10° to 720°.
A pinion is a toothed round gear, fixed in a central position, that engages with a toothed rack. The rack oscillates back and forth upon pressurisation of the respective ports and engages with the pinion gear. The linear movement of the rack translates into relative rotary motion of the pinion shaft.
The external body of the rotary actuator is constructed using light alloy material, the rack and pinion are made from hardened steel ensuring durability and robustness.
Cushioning with adjustment screws and magnetic rings for sensing supplied as standard. Choose between a male or female pinion shaft each provided with a keyway for locking in mating parts.
