ISO 6432 pneumatic cylinders range from 8mm to 25mm bore diameters; they are designed to meet industry standards and promote interchangeability amongst other manufacturers.
Pneumatic ISO 6432 cylinders function with the use of additional valves; these valves can be mechanical, pneumatically, manually or electrically controlled.
A double acting cylinder requires two air connections, one at either end of the device to create a force in either direction. A 5-way valve would typically be used to introduce pressure to one side of the cylinder while allowing air to exhaust the other; this is necessary for the mechanical movement to occur.
Upon switching the valve to a second position the pressure and exhaust reverse creating a double-acting linear movement of the cylinder rod. Single acting cylinders require only a single air connection, usually provided by using a 3-way pneumatic valve.
Choose from single or double acting cylinder with or without a magnetic piston, available with ‘U’ or ‘S’ type rear mountings. Cylinder type ‘U’ versions are threaded at both ends; both connection ports are 90° to the main cylinder body. Cylinder type ‘S’ versions are nose threaded only, the front connection port is 90° to the cylinder body, and the rear connection port is in-line with the cylinder.
